Paul HR Wilson

Mr Paul HR Wilson graduated from Glasgow University with Honours in Medical Biochemistry and then Dental Surgery. He completed postgraduate specialist training at Great Ormond Street Hospital, Guy's & St Thomas' Dental Institute, King's College London, and the University of Alberta, Canada. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons.

Paul is the Director of Bath Dental Clinic, as well as Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, based at the John Radcliffe and Churchill Hospitals. There he is Clinical Lead for oral rehabilitation of head and neck cancer patients, and dental trauma.

Paul was Consultant in Restorative Dentistry and Senior Clinical Lecturer at Bristol Dental Hospital and The Royal United Hospital, Bath, from 2006 until 2014. At Bristol Dental Hospital he was Lead Consultant for Oral Rehabilitation.

Referrals are accepted for dental implant treatment, cosmetic dentistry, full-mouth rehabilitation, challenging denture cases, occlusal problems, and second opinions. Paul offers care under inhalational or intravenous conscious sedation.

Paul also co-authored the international dental undergraduate textbook, 'Churchill's Clinical Dentistry', and teaches postgraduate dental and medical trainees in Oxford.

Robert Kelly

Mr Robert Kelly graduated in 2010 from Trinity College, Dublin. He has broad based experiences working in both primary and secondary hospital based specialist services including oral and maxillofacial surgery, restorative dentistry, paediatric dentistry and oral surgery. 

Robert worked as a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Birmingham where he was undertaking specialist training in restorative dentistry as well as teaching undergraduate dental students. 

Robert has completed a postgraduate specialist training programme in Endodontology (root canal treatment) at King’s College, London.

His research interests include the behaviour of dental biomaterials in extreme oral environments. Robert is an active member of the British Endodontic Society, and he accepts referrals for all aspects of root canal treatments, re-treatments, and assessing restorability of teeth.

Sarah Tukmachi

Consultant in Paediatric Dentistry GDC No. 191816

Miss Sarah Tukmachi graduated as a dental surgeon from the University of Bristol in 2010. She has undertaken several training posts in leading teaching hospitals across the country including oral and maxillofacial surgery, restorative dentistry and paediatric dentistry. 

Sarah completed her clinical specialty training in Paediatric Dentistry at the Royal London Dental Hospital with rotations at Great Ormond Street Hospital, gaining membership of the Royal College of Surgeons. Alongside her specialty training Sarah completed a clinical masters in Paediatric Dentistry at Queen Mary University London, developing her research interest in the facial growth of children with haemoglobinopathies.

Sarah was appointed Consultant in Paediatric Dentistry at the University of Bristol Dental Hospital in 2021.

Sarah has a committed interest in the treatment of anxious and very young children. She aims to provide a holistic approach to every child’s dental treatment, and she accepts referrals for traumatic dental injuries, tooth-coloured and stainless steel crowns, behaviour management, immature root canal treatment, management of the developing dentition and dental anomalies, treatment of dental decay and dental extractions. Treatment can be delivered under inhalation sedation.

 
Stephanie Wilson Dentist BDS (Glas) DipDSed

Stephanie Wilson

Stephanie qualified from the University of Glasgow in 1998 with a BDS (Commendation). In 2005 she gained her Diploma in Conscious Dental Sedation from Kings College London. Stephanie has worked in private and NHS practices in Maidenhead, Reading, Bath and for University Hospitals Bristol. Stephanie is particularly keen on preventive dentistry.

When not at work, Stephanie is kept busy looking after her three children, dog and husband.

Calum Macpherson

Mr Calum Macpherson qualified from Edinburgh University in 1986. Since qualifying, Calum has set up St Michael’s Dental Surgery, Bath where he has developed a practice with an excellent  reputation for successfully working with anxious dental patients. A major milestone was achieved in 2009 when the practice relocated to a brand new, striking, contemporary premises (www.nofeardentists.com).

Calum has also been closely involved in the teaching of dental sedation to dental students, newly qualified dentists and dental nurses. He also worked part-time at the sedation unit at Cardiff Dental Hospital and at the Oral Surgery Department, Royal United Hospital, Bath. Calum has over thirty years of conscious sedation experience.

 

Katy Colbourne

Mrs Katy Colbourne qualified as a Dental Hygienist from Bristol Dental Hospital School of Hygiene in 2016.

Outside of dentistry, Katy’s two young children keep her busy. And in her free time, she enjoys exercise, especially running.

Katy has worked solely in private practice in Bath and Bristol, and has experience working alongside a variety of specialist dentists.

Katy is passionate about providing evidence-based treatment centred on prevention, helping patients to keep healthy teeth and gums for life.

 
Jennifer Woolley

Mrs Jenny Woolley qualified as a Dental Hygienist from The Royal London Dental Hospital in 1984.

Since then she has worked in both NHS/Private Practice and the Hospital Service. For the past 30 years she has worked part-time at Bristol University Dental Hospital, first as a staff dental hygienist gaining experience treating complex periodontal disease, medically compromised, phobic and oncology patients. After completing training in teaching she began working as a tutor, training student dental hygienists. She has also lectured at postgraduate level across the South West. She has recently been involved in a quality improvement project for United Bristol Healthcare Trust called Mouth Care Matters which aims to improve the oral care of dependent inpatients.

She is passionate about helping patients reach optimum oral health to stabilise their gum health and maintain implants.
